HDFC Ltd just made home buying a little more intuitive and customized. With the launch of HDFC RED, buyers can now list their preferences for a property in order of their needs and then view a list as per those variables when they go house hunting online. HDFC RED has the ‘Priority Search’ tool, a newly developed feature which will help buyers’ priorities their preferences, and then search their desired properties as per that list. This feature can be accessed via the newly launched HDFC RED application and the newly designed webpage.
The Priority Search tools aims to transform the homebuyers online search experience. The unique tool enables home seekers to rank their preference, which simultaneously powers the percentage rating system. Based on the priorities ranked by the home seeker, a curated list of properties is presented where each property is accompanied by a relevance score and feedback mechanism. This leads them to view properties in an order, demonstrating the extent of relevance and feedback, indicating the reason HDFC RED believes a particular property is the most suitable for a certain user. The Priority Search thereby helps home seekers to discover their preferred homes faster and with significant ease.
“Our consumer behavior research of online homebuyers revealed that most of them end up being buried under heaps of information within minutes of their search and despite the large pool of properties presented to them, more often than not, the options do not come close to fulfilling the criteria of a ‘dream’ home, resulting in unsatisfactory experiences. In order to ensure our users an added level of immersion, we elevated our offering by adding meaningful technological innovations and design to the core of our application. Innovation is crucial to simplify the complex in real estate, and we believe that progressive technology applications introduced along with streamlined design will ensure a hassle-free experience to our users. With a fresh outlook, HDFC RED aims to give homebuyers complete and unbiased guidance that helps them take informed decisions,” said Renu Sud Karnad, the Managing Director of HDFC Ltd during the launch of the tool on desktop and smartphones.
The core of the initiative, is the domain expertise, data science, and related technology, which is coupled the ‘customer first’ approach. From being an online list to a consultant giving right recommendations, based on core customer preference via the same route of the internet, is something new and innovative in the segment.
