With Ingram Micro, Redington and Supertron as their national distributors, the company has developed a strong channel base of more than 1500 partners across the country. Founded in 1997, CyberPower Systems ranks second in the retail channel for UPS systems and surge protectors in terms of both units sold and dollar share.
The company is now hoping to expand its channel network across India so that their products are available even in smaller cities and towns. In a chat with Channel Times, Ravi Kumar Ayilavarapu, AVP, Enterprises, at CyberPower Systems India says, “We follow the traditional way of distribution through a strong network and have started efforts to spread our reach to Tier-3 and Tier-4 channels our BTL activities in the form of schemes for partners and customers.”
The company recently launched products in the UPS and Solar panels segments of the business. In addition, they also launched new power banks. The current product line includes UPS (Online EC Series, Smart Modular Series UPS, Long Backup UPS), Solar (Solar Hybrid generating system) and mobile power solution power bank, surge protector and travel adapter).
“Every month we come with primary and secondary schemes for partners and we are getting very good outcomes with these schemes. We arrange regular extensive trainings and demos to educate our partners, who is our key touchpoint with the customers. Also our Service Network is one of the strong points to ensure the customer about reliability of our services,” says Ravi Kumar.
The company boasts of an entire suite of products that meets the requirements of a large section of customers, ranging from power solutions for large enterprises to data centers to home offices and individual homes.
Channel Roadmap
Speaking further on the channel roadmap, Ravi Kumar said the company set up its head office and branch offices in Mumbai (Head Office), Kolkata, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad & Chennai and expanded presence in Tier-2, Tier-3 and Tier-4 Cities.
“We have already signed with major big players as national distributors and we will be happy to provide power solutions to all the sectors in India. We are expecting to do minimum INR 100 Crore revenue in the first year of our operations,” he said.
Ravi Kumar said the entire suite of CyberPower Systems is quite channel friendly in terms of prove quality and reliability. Moreover, the products are between 15 and 20 per cent less expensive compared to competing brands.
Assuring clients of prompt after-sales support, the official said, “CyberPower warrants to the original purchaser that the products free from defects in design, assembly, material, manufacturing and workmanship under normal use during the warranty period, which will be subject to the terms and conditions of the Limited Warranty stated by CyberPower.”
He also said that for speedier service, CyberPower also considers replacement of the defective product with new, refurbished or reconditioned one without prior notice. The warranty on replacement product is usually the remainder of the original warranty, he added.
