As exclusive National distributor of Nuance products, including its Power PDF software that enables businesses to collaborate faster, easier, and more affordably, the company claims its PDF solution is not only easy to convert, edit, annotate and share documents from any application, but also gives business users the features they need at a price that they can justify. In an exclusive chat with Channel Times, Manish Goenka, Head, Strategy and Marketing, Icons Infocomm highlights the company’s plans with the PDF software.

CT: Icons has a vast range of product portfolio. What are the key areas you are planning to focus in this financial year?
Manish Goenka:
 Besides offering system integration services, today it offers distribution and dealership capabilities for hardware and software solutions. Our customers are major players in several market segments and we are the main distribution partners of some of the world’s best-selling brands of leading companies such as Nuance, iStorage, ioSafe, Philips, Andrea, and Asus. We are looking to create Regional Distributors for our products that can cater to Channel market in their territory.

CT: Please tell us about your Nuance Power PDF product portfolio and how different it is in terms of other products in PDF Market? 
Manish Goenka: Power PDF lets you create, Convert, edit, annotate and share PDF documents. Recently named “Best PDF Editor” by PC Advisor, Nuance Power PDF is a perfect PDF converter for the enterprise. Power PDF is very easy to use and comes at a fraction of the price you’d expect. Nuance Power PDF 2 to be intuitive and easy to use, especially if you’re familiar with Microsoft Office. One big advantage Nuance Power PDF Advanced has over Adobe Acrobat is that Power PDF lets users add notes to their PDF files simply by speaking, instead of typing.

CT: What is the need for such PDF solution when there are many similar products available in market?
Manish Goenka: 
Nuance has perpetual yet flexible licensing programs to give you a convenient, low-hassle licensing option you won’t get from other vendors. In short, Power PDF provides a pricing model that makes it easy to put PDF functionality within reach of the entire organization. CT: What are the key aspects a channel partner needs to tell a customer while selling Nuance Power PDF?

 Nuance Power PDF has Perpetual license programs unlike other vendors which has a monthly / annually subscription based model. Power PDF can save you nearly 79% of your total expenditure over a three-year Acrobat DC subscription. Some of the advantages of the products include, one doesn’t need to be committed to one document cloud system, Power PDF Standard connects to popular cloud systems and Power PDF Advanced adds connectivity to enterprise document management systems. Also, Power PDF comes with additional utilities (we call them Assistants) to more productively create and convert PDF files in multiple ways (more freedom) and within multiple applications. As Distributors we offer L1-L2 Online Support to channel & customers.

CT: What type of channel partners you are looking for expanding your product?
Manish Goenka
: We are looking for Regional Channel Distributors who have a good reach with system integrators.
