Steps Down

Mumbai: Mumbai-based Association of System Integrators and Retailers in Technology (ASIRT) has elected its new chairman for 2017-18. Jiten Mehta, founder and Director of Magnamious Systems Pvt Ltd has been unanimously elected as the chairman of the association. He succeeds Kshitiz Kotak who stepped down from the board due to his business commitments.

Kotak is a charter member and was the first president of ASIRT having subsequently served as Chairman till his resignation last month. His long standing request to take a break has been reluctantly accepted after a long discussion at board meeting held in December, the association said.

“Under his leadership, ASIRT has grown from strength to strength and he leaves an unparalleled legacy of service to industry. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors,” the association said.

Talking exclusively to Channel Times, Mehta said that maximum engagement with partners will be the key focus of ASIRT in 2017.

“This year we aim to take ASIRT to the next level. We will closely engage with key large SIs and we will invite them to help our members in better business collaboration. We will continue to conduct our flagship activities like Tech Days and Tech Edge Days and will continue to focus on enablement of our members”, he said.

Jiten Mehta brings with him a rich experience of over three decades in the industry and has served the industry at various forums. Mehta has also served as secretary of ISODA.

The ASIRT Board has retained other members in the board in their respective capacities.
