Microsoft Partner Association Conducts ‘Hands-On’ Lab For Azure

Mumbai: International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners (www.iamcp.org ) India (West) Chapter organized a Hands On Lab for Azure Fundamentals recently at Microsoft India’s Mumbai Office. The target audiences were the Technical Service Delivery Team of Microsoft Partners.

The Lab was conducted by Rao Rajendra Singh, Global Black Belt for Cloud Infrastructure and Specialist in Business Continuity, Microsoft. Rao is MCSD – Azure Application Architect with experience of development, consulting & pre sales in Microsoft Cloud & Productivity technology stack. In his current role Singh is Global Black Belt for Cloud Infrastructure India Region and specialist in Business Continuity Disaster Recovery Planning and Implementation. He is regular speaker at local & international Cloud events like TechEd, Future Unleashed, Azure Vidyapeeth.

Topics which were covered include, ‘Azure IaaS – creation of VM, configuring storage, uploading files,’ ‘Azure Web App – creating and hosting a responsive website in minutes’ and ‘How to use Azure Calculator and how to track your Azure consumption.’

Suresh Ramani, President, IAMCP India thanked first Mandar Kulkarni, Director of Cloud and Datacenter Programs at Microsoft and Mr. Rao. Suresh mentioned to the audience that IAMCP and Microsoft have teamed up to deliver series of Hands On Labs on different Workloads of Azure. This is a part of what he called as Azurification of the Microsoft Partner Community. He thanked Rao for the wonderful Workshop.

About 23 Partners attended the event. A statement from the association reads, “IAMCP is a Worldwide Association of Microsoft Partners whose focus is to enable Partners with Microsoft Technologies and facilitate Collaboration between Partners.”

The India West Chapter is active in Mumbai and Pune.
