Riverbed Still Attaches Importance to Managed Services

Importance to Managed Services

Bengaluru: In 2016 Partner Summit, Riverbed emphasized on managed services by adding a formal managed services track to its partner program. Although the company completely believed in traditional resale model earlier, its acquisition of Ocedo, with its as-a-service offering and the growing cloud driven operation in the industry brought in a change. Riverbed believed that the partners would do better by adding managed services to their portfolio.

At the Partner Summit of 2017, most partners did not want to make a shift except for some completely cloud driven partners. Although Riverbed now has taken cognizance that SteelHead-as-a-service is a leap for most partners business models, they emphasised this year that their SteelFusion and SteelCentral offerings are more spontaneous for partners and that further as-a-service offerings are also promising to the channel.

Riverbed Technology has recognized top-performing partners from around the world during Partner Summit this year. The Riverbed Partner Awards recognize companies for excellence in delivering on evolving customer needs and driving business results. In total, Riverbed honored 16 companies for their achievements in 2016, across various partner categories both globally and regionally.
