Computer hacking expert, Trey Ford will be joining Salesforce.com as head of trust starting Monday. He will be a part of the company’s Heroku unit and will address its cyber security and reliability related requirements.

Heroku comes as a cloud based platform of Salesforce for creating and deploying web software applications. Prior to this, Ford served as the general manager for Black Hat hacking conference and also held the position of a security response manager for Zynga Inc.

He also held positions with security firms including Rapid7 Inc, WhiteHat Security and McAfee.
Earlier this month, Heroku rolled out a new feature called Heroku Teams, which enables software developers to operate on different projects, permissions and teams with centralized billing and management. The feature is also being provided for free for up to five users.

Salesforce.com also rolled out Heroku Private Spaces, earlier this year as part of its Salesforce App Cloud launch. Heroku claims that private space is a new Heroku runtime tailored from the ground up to address the trust and control requirements of the most rigorous applications.
