Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi, which has a contract manufacturing facility with Taiwan-based Foxconn at Sri City, has said it would ramp up production by adding more assembly lines. Currently, Xiaomi India sells various models produced at the manufacturing facility of Foxconn located at Sri City Special Economic Zone, Tada near Chennai. “The plan is to increase number of (assembly) lines in our existing facility in Sri City (SEZ). Foxconn seems not pleased with Nokia’s legal and financial crisis. With regards to taking over Nokia’s Chennai production plant, the Taiwanese multinational electronics contract manufacturing company, has laid down certain conditions, which include freedom from all financial and legal liabilities of the plant. Foxconn To Set Up Manufacturing Plant In Navi Mumbai

Taiwanese multinational electronics contract manufacturing company, Foxconn will reportedly commence its mobile manufacturing plant in Navi Mumbai in August.
