Chennai: Confed-ITA, the leading IT association of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry is planning to conduct its annual summit in Kodaikanal from April, 7 to April 9, 2017this year. M Ramesh, the newly elected president and chairman of the summit tells ChannelTimes that the summit will ensure meaningful dialogues between vendors and channel partners and also address the key pain-points of a channel partner on the day to day running of their business.
Like every year, the summit will see a confluence of IT dealers, System Integrators, Solution Providers from various Tamilnadu and Pondicherry district associations. Titled as ‘Focus to Change’ (or Maathi Yosi in Tamil), the Summit will have business forums, training programs, new business verticals and entertainment. This is evident from the 3 days 2 nights package at a plush resort in the hills of Kodaikanal to give ample time for members to relax, rejuvenate and network.
“HP is our main sponsor and LG is the co-sponsor. The summit will also have around 20 Stalls of various vendors in the venue,” informed Ramesh.
“The summit is designed to ensure that the sponsors take away some qualified leads in terms of business proposals, new ideas. Sessions are planned in a way to have maximum dialogue between the vendors and channel partners,” he added.
The current version of summit doesn’t encourage non-business presentations as a member can access the same in other social forums or clubs, Ramesh said adding that the plan is to have more training programs, useful vendor sessions, lucky draws , entertainment session,to keep the members in a vibrant mode all the day.
The summit, rather than focusing on the generic issues, will address the key pain-points a channel partner faces day-today like human resource management, finance management through a session by a finance consultant and more.
GST has also finds center stage during the summit as the summit will have engaging sessions on on upcoming GST implementation by key speakers.
