Mumbai: After months after the announcement of Dynamics 365 and AppSource at its Worldwide Partner Conference 2016, Microsoft on Tuesday demonstrated the integrated CRM and ERP for its partners and customers.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 unifies CRM and ERP capabilities by delivering new purpose-built applications to help manage specific business functions, including Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Operations, Marketing, Project Service Automation, and Financials. The Dynamics 365 is set to release on November 1.
Microsoft also explained the partner opportunities with Dynamics 365 and how partners can leverage the technology by increasing their ability to differentiate from the competition by delivering a deeper level of vertical and business process expertise.
The company said that it is also adding Solution Integrator (SI) partners to AppSource to help customers find a partner who can help them with implementation and deployment. AppSource is a business marketplace for customers to find applications and partner developers,
“Dynamics 365 will allow partners to be more deeply involved on their customers’ business processes, creating new business opportunities that couldn’t be pursued before when selling a single product”, Takeshi Numoto, corporate vice president, Microsoft Cloud + Enterprises said in a blog post.
Microsoft has established the new Dynamics 365 Partner community to help partners build Microsoft Dynamics 365 practices. The community includes a monthly call, blog series, and Yammer group, where partners will be able to connect with Dynamics technical, sales, and business experts from across Microsoft.
Microsoft showcased Dynamics 365 less than a week after CRM rival Salesforce debuted Einstein, an artificial intelligence technology infused into its sales, service and marketing apps. Microsoft Dynamics 365 combines CRM and ERP cloud solutions into what Microsoft calls the next generation of intelligent business applications with purpose built-in apps.
The intelligence builds on advanced analytics and machine learning and includes functionality such as: sentiment and intent analysis, preemptive service, relationship insights, lead and opportunity scoring, product recommendations and up-sell/cross-sell.
The company also announced built-in intelligence capability for Dynamics 365. Called Dynamics 365 for Customer Insights, it’s an analytics app that connects and analyzes data from Microsoft — and other widely used CRM, ERP, web, social and IoT sources — and applies intelligence to it to give users a 360-degree customer view. It also provides automatic suggestions to improve engagement, the blog post said.
Two flavors of Dynamics 365 — Enterprise and Business Editions — are available to organizations of every size that can also take advantage of a subscription model that’s per app/per user-based. The Dyamics 365 also taps the capabilities in Power BI, Office 365, Microsoft Azure and Cortana Intelligence.
Since being announced in July, the AppSource marketplace has expanded to about 250 apps, with more in the works, according to Microsoft. The business marketplace features apps for industry verticals and apps that extend business functionality. It marquees ISV partner developers and, as of today, SIs.
“Today we are furthering our commitment to help customers reduce the time and complexity of implementing line of business (LoB) SaaS apps by extending the AppSource ecosystem to include the expertise and services of SI partners,” Ron Huddleston, corporate vice president of enterprise partner ecosystem at Microsoft noted today in a blog post.
