Dell EMC Forms New Channel Strategy For India Market

Bengaluru: The newly formed entity Dell EMC formed by Dell’s acquisition of EMC has announced its new channel strategy for the India market. The company named Anil Sethi as new channel head For India. Sethi was hired to play a critical role in unifying each legacy company’s partner programs for the India market. According to an ET report, Anil Sethi, vice president, Channels, Dell EMC India said that the new Dell EMC Partner Program would be rolled out across over 4,000 partners next week. Prior to the organizational restructuring, Sethi was leading the channel business for Dell, while Praveen Sahai, who was managing it for EMC has now moved onto a new role in the APJ region.

“Globally, we have announced an investment of $150 million for building our channel programs. India is one of the most important geographies for us and we will be investing in developing our partners here and help them increase their profitability,” said Sethi.

The company has over 40 strategic partners and 4,000 partners in India. Over 45 percent of the company’s revenue in India comes from the channel business.

With the new structure in operation, partners are open to sell products and solutions across both enterprise and commercial portfolio. However, for many partners it will be that first they would be selling these products. The company will ensure proper training to impart the required skills and infrastructure.
