New Delhi: The All India IT association popularly known as Federation of All India Information Technology Associations or FAIITA recently got registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. The association was established a few years ago to unite IT channel fraternity across the country and highlight their issues has now got registered officially.
On October 28, the association got registered as ‘Federation of All India Information Technology Associations or FAIITA’ in under not-for-profit body with registered office at 404/95, Nehru Place, New Delhi, 110019.
The general secretary of the association Saket Kapoor shared the information in various social media groups of the association, especially on WhatApp and Facebook. Many members of the association had appreciated the first step by the association to streamline the entire process.
The idea of a national IT association mooted up with the first idea came from the Delhi based association PCAIT in 2014. In the year 2015, the association grabbed the attention nationwide in refraining purchases from the vendors against the unethical e-sale. The association had also had talks with the IT manufacturers association MAIT against the unethical sale of IT products in the free market.
Champakraj Gurjar, president of FAIITA, said on the occasion, “The road ahead is to take the association with all the concerned departments in the state and central and interact with them on making the fullest use of association members for aligning them in projects ‘Make-In-India’, ‘Digital India’ and more.”
He added that the association is now working in the areas of how GST can make positive impact on the channel fraternity across the country.
