Nagercoil/Chennai, June 16:
IT security company K7 Computing has addressed an issue raised by the Kanyakumari District Association that the former was ignoring channel partners.
The Association members had accused anti-virus player K7 Computing of not informing them about the recent training session organized for engineers at Nagercoil.
Following that, the Association called a general body meeting and decided to ban the sale of products of K7 Computing in the district.
When Channel Times contacted K7, P Dinesh David, Vice-President, Channel Sales, K7, was quick to respond. He wrote a mail to the association assuring the partners that the company would henceforth inform the Association about the meetings. The mail read: “The objective of conducting the engineer’s meet at Nagercoil was to enhance the technical knowledge of engineers about tackling viruses and malwares that are prevalent today.”
He also clarified that K7 is focusing on liquidating K7 stocks from the retail partner’s outlet. “In future, we will consider your recommendation of inviting more retail partner engineers and would consult you before planning such meets,” he wrote.
After reviewing the case, Kesavardhanan Jayaraman, Founder and CEO of the company, said, “There seems to be some confusion on the engineer meet we had recently conducted. There has been a gross misunderstanding on this. We conducted these meets to educate and encourage engineers on k7 products. These engineers are in turn taking the products from the channel partners only. We do not have a direct method of sales. All our sales happens only through channel partners.”
