NIIT Unveils Live Online Digital Marketing Course

NIIT, a recognized leader in skills and talent development, announced their first interactive live course (online) in Digital Marketing, in collaboration with Digital Marketing Institute, Ireland. This is the first time, the course has gone online, and will also mark the 37th batch of the Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing(PDDM), from the institute. The batches for the course are scheduled to start from 26th June, 2016, and the registrations will be last accepted on 25th June, 2016.

There has been a steady shift in focus on behalf of consumers and businesses, towards the digital medium, thus prompting more diversion of resources towards the area. Internet users in India have crossed the mark of 462 million, and the expenditure on digital advertising is stated to cross US $4 billion by 2020. With such potential, it comes as no surprise that professionals for the medium are increasingly being sought after.

Udai Singh, Chief Strategy Officer, NIIT Ltd., said “Aligned to NIIT’s strategic focus of developing digital skills ready workforce, the PDDM program is uniquely positioned to meet the changing requirements of the industry. Looking at providing convenience to customers, who don’t want to waste time traveling to the centres, we have launched the first of the series of live online interactive course. The first live online PDDM program will be delivered through a unique pedagogy which is a mix of live expert lectures, case discussions, quizzes and projects for holistic learning. With DMI’s expertise in certification and training we aim to create a globally competitive workforce for the digital marketing industry.”

The course is targeted at professionals in the marketing, product, advertising, and sales departments, and will cover areas like Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Social Media Marketing (SMM), Analytics, E-Mail marketing, and Mobile Marketing. The course will be headed by Dr. Neeraj Sharma, the Program Director, who has facilitated the education of over 25,000 working professionals in the past, and has educational qualifications like a PhD in Management from IIT, Delhi and a Masters in Human Resource Management from IIT Kharagpur.
