Sapphire to Focus on Indian Market

Indian Market

Sapphire Technology, the Hong Kong-based graphic card manufacturers,
has announced a tie-up with Ingram Micro.

p____p Rex Tsang, vice president (Sales), Sapphire Technology, said, “There is tremendous growth for us in the Indian market. We are closely banking on our distributor to make our
products well known in the Indian market.”

p____p Having arrived from Hong Kong to create awareness about the company and to
establish links with the resellers and the channel partners present at the
meet in Mumbai, Tsang seemed upbeat about the response received.

p____p “We are extremely new in the Indian market and we hope to
create strong bonds with the partners and make our presence felt,” he added.

p____p Sapphire, according to Tsang, has always been the key ATI graphics boards
supplier worldwide. ATI announced its manufacturing and distribution
relationships in June 2001.

p____p Sapphire designs, manufactures and distributes the complete range of ATI
video boards to Radeon 8500 boards.

p____p Tsang also said that Sapphire has a major market in Europe, North America,
and Asia. It is now closely looking at the Indian market to distribute its
products.

p____p Tsang is confident that the products will be well accepted in India as growth prospects are high.
