In an exclusive interview with Faiz Askari for ChannelTimes.com, Varun Gupta, Director, Vintron Informatics, spoke about his company’s vision, strategy and market priorities for next level growth.

How is the company looking at the Indian market? What are the top priorities for Vintron Informatics?
There is a huge potential in India’s security and surveillance segment today. Vintron Informatics Ltd. is a pioneer in manufacturing of electronic security and surveillance products in India. We have our set of CCTV cameras, video door phones and stand-alone DVR’s positioned for the India market.
We have a clear priority towards setting up our channel network in India now. We have a vision of having 100+ distributors, 1000+ resellers and 200+ retail partners by the end of this year.
What is your go to market strategy for India? How do you look at the Systems Integrators community?
Vintron is a completely channel oriented organization. We already have great relationships with some of the best channel partners in India. Our go to market strategy is pretty clear and we want to go the channel way when it comes to pushing our products and solutions are concerned. When it comes to system integrators, we are surely looking forward to working closely with some of the best system integrators focused on security and surveillance segment.
What kind of products and solutions are you positioning for the SI community?
We are positioning our security and surveillance solutions for the SI community. This is an interesting proposition as today most of the System Integrators look for such solutions which can guarantee them profitability and also make sure that they move up the value chain. Security and surveillance is surely one such segment.
How do you plan to compete in India, where price becomes a big factor to push sales?
We are an Indian manufacturer, we have always been manufacturing our products locally, this has delivered great advantages to our customers. These advantages come in the form of our unique way of servicing our customers – we completely understand the local markets and hence are always in better position to handle difficult situations. As per our understanding of Indian market most of customers wants to buy best product at right price, so it should be right balance of product, features, quality and pricing.
How do you plan to engage the channel community in a better manner? What are some of the USPs for your solutions?
Our product’s quality and being 100 per cent Indian manufactured product has been a great element of success for us as well as our customers.
Driving true spirit of Indian manufacturing, all Vintron CCTV cameras are locally produced at its Okhla based factory. Vintron’s manufacturing facility consists of 10 high speed SMT machines, having a combined capacity of making more than 500,000 CCTV Camera’s per month. Its facility has been RoHS, CE, FCC and ISO certified.
Vintron Informatics was established in the year 1991. In keeping with its true Indian manufacturing spirit, the company started with manufacturing and marketing of “VINTRON” brand of IT products, which became very popular in India.
What are some of the verticals that you are targeting in India?
We are targeting verticals such as government, BFSI, IT, enterprise, defense, PSUs, industrial installations etc for our security and surveillance products and solutions in India.
What kind of growth are you looking at from India? Where is this growth likely to come from?
We are looking for 50%+ growth in this fiscal year vis a vis last fiscal year, as we are just a two year old company in security and surveillance. The market is huge and our growth will come from channel and some good OEMs partnerships.
