CA Technologies To Bolster Channel Growth in APAC Region

Mumbai: American IT major CA Technologies has announced the appointment of Martin Mackay as the president and general manager of Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region. In his new role, Mackay will be responsible for driving growth by helping customers and partners leverage new business opportunities in the application economy.

Mackay will be based in Singapore and report directly to Adam Elster, President of CA’s global field operations. His charter covers the management of all sales and business development across the region.Kenneth Arredondo, who has held this role since 2014, will be working with Mackay until the end of March 2017 to ensure a smooth transition for customers, partners and employees.

India is one of the high growth markets for CA Technologies, which perceives major avenues for growth through the government’s much-publicized Digital India program. The company recently named Surya Panditi as General Manager of the India Technology Center of CA Technologies. At present, CA has development centres in Hyderabad and Bangalore. Ingram Micro, Redington and Compuage Infocom are the major distributors of the company in the country.

Mackay has almost 30 years of experience in multiple sectors of the technology industry. He has led enterprise software, channel and inside sales teams in Europe, the US and APJ. His past experience includes leadership roles with major multi-nationals, including PeopleSoft/Oracle and Verisign. He has served as the CEO of Neverfail, a secure cloud solutions provider, and Calyx Managed Services, that he led to growth and profitability over an 18-month period.
