Kolkata: Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has made several announcements specifically designed to help channel partners navigate and accelerate their growth at its 2016 Global Partner Conference (GPC) held in New Delhi today.
The IT major said, it is expanding its Partner Ready program to deliver additional resources to partners of all sizes and specialties including: the integration of competencies designed to help partners capture additional market share, a revamped Partner Ready Service Provider (PRSP) Program, as well as an updated suite of ready-made partner marketing resources.
In addition to the strategic expansion of the Partner Ready program, HPE introduced updated hardware and services designed to deliver on the promise of enterprise mobility. These innovative product lines also include cloud, storage and hyper-converged computing, among others
Today’s news comes in direct response to HPE and its partners’ perspectives on the shifting IT channel landscape, which is rapidly reorienting to accommodate the growth of services-led solutions.
“HPE is an ever more channel-focused organization committed to innovating new, collaborative solutions that enable growth for the company and our partners,” said Neelam Dhawan, VP & GM, Enterprise Group and Managing Director India, Hewlett Packard Enterprise. “As we work to build and deploy the platforms and tools that accelerate global enterprises, we must work in unison with our partners to move our businesses further, faster,” she said.
“HPE can anticipate and respond to the rapid and dynamic changes happening in the IT space faster than anyone because our solutions are powering this seismic shift at the enterprise level,” said Barun Lala, Director, Indirect Sales, Hewlett Packard Enterprise India.
“With that insight at our core, HPE is better positioned than any other vendor in the market today to provide partner-ready solutions for the full range of channel business models and growth categories,” he added.
HPE also added several new components to Partner Ready. The most significant is distinguishing channel partners by competencies or the ability to deliver HPE solutions that align with the vendor’s transformation areas to customers.
At GPC, HPE announced the first six of 11 competencies to roll out over the next one year. These include application development and transformation, IT automation and orchestration, Incident recovery and data Backup and Recovery; Data Management Infrastructure and Architecture; Digital Collaboration; and Intelligent Workspace, to name a few.
Channel competencies are being introduced, to complement the existing specializations within the existing tier structure, and provide a mechanism to reward the relatively small number of partners with deep expertise around clusters of select HPE solutions, the company said.
