Bengaluru, Dec. 3: Hybrid IT Infrastructure Services provider Microland has expanded its managed services operation with the opening of Global Network Operations Centre (B-GNOC) for its service customer Computacenter plc and plans to hire 100 employees in this centre.

Computacenter, which is the parent company of a group of European companies that provide services to public- and private-sector customers in the UK and other parts of Europe. Microland has signed a five-year contract with Computacenter and the new facility adds offshore services capability to Computacenter’s offerings, allowing them to expand on their existing offerings by making available all the standardized processes and tools to their customers from Microland’s B-GNOC facility.

B-GNOC is expected to service the varied IT infrastructure requirements of Computacenter’s worldwide customers. Microland delivers IT infrastructure services to Computacenter’s customers in both public and private sectors.

Unveiling B-GNOC, at Bagmane Tech Park, Microland’s fourth facility in Bangalore, Pradeep Kar, Founder, Chairman & Managing Director, Microland said, “Microland is delighted to strengthen its partnership with Computacenter and deliver high quality Remote Infrastructure Management Services to Computacenter’s customers.”

Simon Oecken, Group Managed Services Director, Computacenter said, “B-GNOC will enable Computacenter to deliver IT infrastructure services on various platforms while leveraging Microland’s end-to-end service capabilities. In the future, the facility will evolve to deliver multiple services for Computacenter’s customers.”

NASSCOM estimates that, by 2020 one third of the IT industry revenues will come from Managed Services and India will have a 45% share in the global addressable market for Remote Infrastructure Management. Microland is expected to play a significant role in the next revolution of IT industry.
