Bengaluru, Dec 27: Leading e-player Flipkart has revealed that the company has no control over the prices of the products they sell.
In an interview to a business newspaper, Sachin Bansal, Founder of Flipkart has mentioned “There is nothing called predatory pricing, our sellers are completely free to price the way they want. E-commerce is an efficient model, which provides better pricing. We actually don’t have any control over pricing.”
However, many channel partners across the country are in a confusion on who is fixing the online prices. In an interaction with ‘Channel Times’, many vendors, off-the-record said that they are tracking the online prices and accuse the online stores for slashing the prices drastically. Some vendors also claim that the channel partners themselves are selling to online stores in bulk orders.
Whatsoever, 2013 has been the year where partners across the country has got an awareness on the business model they are doing and started transforming themselves into various sections.
