I am always against the myth that industry meetings are of waste of time, energy and money. It is always fun to have 500 business tourists in a Summit, especially if the location is a place like Goa.
I would like to see a change in their opinion after my learning from the Confed-ITA summit organized, which was represented by the channel community from the South Indian states.
I would like to recall a few questions that were raised by a few ‘revolutionary’ thoughts. For instance, before the Summit, I was asked what Confed summit is all about and what benefits one can expect from participating in the event?
On the positive side, all the participants got a fantastic package of two nights and three days in a seven star property, along with the business sessions at a reasonable rate. While some of partners spent their trip enjoying the night life of Goa, others enjoyed the ambience and amenities of the resort. Travelling along with our close buddies and we also managed to network with new personalities within the channel fraternity and this made our day.
Also, I cannot forget the core subject – business. The business freaks were distributing their business cards and managed to build some good network, thanks to the opportunity provided during the summit. Some also felt that the summit gave them a break from their regular, stress filled life.
