By the time you read this edit, the blue on your finger may be fading. And I hope that you have not missed out on this great opportunity to vote for the right people. I have certainly voted, and am proud to mention that hubby and me were the first ones to register at the polling booth.
This is one moment, one opportunity dear partners, to bring about a change, and to enter a new, better world, to make this world a better place for our businesses, a new world which can offer lot of opportunities, a new world where no one goes to bed on a hungry stomach, and a new world where we as parents will start the cleansing work to leave behind a beautiful legacy for our children.
Wishful thinking! Is that not what some of you thought while smirking? But stand calmly, think calmly, close your eyes, and be honest are some of the things not doable? Are those not in our hands? If so, we can make a beginning.. Once we lay the groundwork, we can demand more from our elected representatives.
The channel on its part can ask the Congress and the BJP to actually implement their strategies and the IT Vision. I am sure there will be opportunities galore to explore. As politicians speak about development, I can already eye numerous opps for the IT and the telecom industries. Even if work on a fourth of development projects; images of which were flashed on our TV screens during campaigning begin, imagine the kind of demand (for work) it will generate at all levels and across industries.
States such as Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Haryana (Chandigarh), Tamil Nadu have already paved the way with their e-governance projects. An escalating demand for physical infrastructure, connectivity, IT highways, etc.. etc.. and a collective vision to make India a financial power house can actually come true. I am not writing broadly on these lines, as I leave that part to the experts in the pink papers to explain. I am merely pointing out opportunities to my channel community, which has the expertise, is developing domain specific skills, and can be an enabler in these works.
And so till the next weekend…
