Bengaluru, July 9: CeBIT India, the annual IT expo that is slated for October in Bengaluru is gearing up on both expos and conferences for the three-day event.
The event, organized in India for the second time, is likely to attract visitors across the Asia region and will have close to 80 eminent speakers deliberating on the latest IT trends and best practices.
In a first-and-exclusive chat with ‘Channel Times’, Brian Pereira Conference Head – CeBIT Global Conferences – India, said, “Today many conferences and expos are happening. However, expos do not impart technology and conferences fail to demonstrate technology. However, the conferences in CeBIT 2015 are planned in a way that they co-relate with the real-time experience the visitors have in the expos.”
Drawing some important lessons from the first CeBIT, the organizers have zeroed in on five broad themes – Diconomy (digital economy and Make In India), The future of work (how organizations need to change the working patterns from conventional methods), Enterprise mobility / 4G enterprise (next generation of mobility), transformation leaders, Digital banking, Mobile payments, e-wallets and cybersecurity.
“This year we have put extra effort to house only quality speakers and audience. Every speaker is decided not just by name and fame, but with proper background research on their contribution not just to their organization but as IT fraternity as a whole,” he said further adding that the conferences this year will not be tightly packed and give sufficient buffer time to speakers and visitors.
“The conferences will have select expos and booths outside and inside. There will be thematic sub-sessions. Also, we have some key speakers from the industry verticals,” he added. (click here to see the confirmed speakers list)
On the top three promises CeBIT can give any visitor, he said it offers the technology experience in action (not just to hear), acts as a 360 degree world-class event and provides an international platform for businesses.
