Bengaluru: CenturyLink has joined the NetApp Unified Partner Program offering NetApp storage solutions designed for enterprises and small-to-midsized businesses (SMBs) in multiple market segments including the public sector, to enhance its portfolio of managed storage offerings.
This agreement will enable CenturyLink to provide a range of NetApp hardware and licensing solutions, including its newly designed NetApp Flex Pod offering on CenturyLink’s global network, to more customers and partners.
“We are excited to expand our strategic alliance with NetApp as we continue building our managed services offerings to help companies achieve success with their digital transformation projects,” said Terence Gleeson, vice president, Strategic Partner Alliances, CenturyLink.
“Having CenturyLink as part of the NetApp program builds upon our existing relationship,” said Bill Lipsin, vice president, Global Channels, NetApp. “Joining the program should enhance CenturyLink’s ability to leverage new opportunities for delivering value-added services, data center solutions and the customer support needed to thrive in today’s digital transformation.”
NetApp and CenturyLink have worked together for several years, and NetApp is an important storage platform in connection with CenturyLink Cloud, designed for both public and private clouds.
Beginning this year, CenturyLink has launched Big Data as a Service (BDaaS) with Managed Cloudera, a new managed service offering that combines CenturyLink’s data and advanced analytics, network, cloud and application services with Apache Hadoop-based data management and analytics platform from Cloudera.
In February, it has announced to its channel partners that it is expanding its Alliance programs to serve their enterprise customers with advanced communications and IT solutions. Each program is tailored to meet the specific support and enablement needs of its members.
