Direct-to-Home Beauty Services By ‘AtHomeDiva’

Though beauty parlors have traditionally been a place where grooming and other beauty related services have been rendered, but there is a steady and rising demand for the same within homes. The common practice of going to a parlor is now shifting to homes, where customers demand services within their homes directly. Picking up on the que, Quikr had recently acquired Salosa, which is a direct-to-home beautification service provider, and now ‘AtHomeDiva’ has been launched in the same space. Quikr has been the country’s premier classifieds enterprise and had witnessed a demand within customers for such a service, thus the initiative in that direction.

AtHomeDiva offers a full range of in-home beauty and styling services including hair, skin, make-up services and special packages, and these services are fulfilled by qualified beauty professionals. Simplifying beauty solutions for consumers, AtHomeDiva is currently offered through the Quikr app and website, and will soon be launched as a separate app as well.

Pranay Chulet, the Founder-CEO of Quikr, laid special emphasis on how the demand-supply was the reason behind the new venture. He said, “AtHomeDiva is a great example of the synergies between our verticals. It is a QuikrServices business that has scaled fast on both demand and supply side in virtually no time with practically zero marketing. On the demand side, the business had access to a large base of women users from not just QuikrServices, but also QuikrGoods and QuikrHomes, and on the supply side, we were able to on-board a large number of beauty experts from QuikrJobs. We expect such synergies to play out more and more, giving us a fundamental competitive advantage in any business we enter.”

QuikrServices PR Head, PD Sundar spoke at length about the salient features of the services. The current cities being catered to would include Gurgaon, Delhi, Bangalore, and would have certified and reliable stylists, who have undergone quality and security checks. With a near 100 per cent growth month-on-month for beauty services at home, Quikr has been forced to scale up operations and hire new people to ensure these service requests are met with. Because of the effective cost, ‘AtHomeDiva’ will also attract a lot of new people into the fold and maintain brand loyalty for the company.
