Chennai: GBS Computers, a leading laptop player in Tamil Nadu has come up with two new showrooms in Madurai and Chennai.
The retailer, with existing showroom exclusively for Lenovo, has explored the option of a multi-branded service center exclusively for Laptops. The company also claims there is no exclusive multibrand laptop service center in madurai.
“Financial year 2016-17 was great for GBS. We have registered almost 40 percent growth as compared to last financial year and we have opened Laptop franchise outlets named ‘Service @ GBS’ in Madurai, Trichy and Coimbatore,” said K Nagendran, MD, GBS computers.
Speaking about the key focus of the company in the coming financial year, he said, the company is planning to start up service franchise outlets in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kochi.
The company is also planning to focus more on high-end smartphone service and tablet services.
GBS computers is a partner to several vendors including Intel, Lenovo, Dell, HP, Epson, Numeric, APC, Seagate, Samsung, Logitech, Microsoft, Tally, D-Link, CISCO, IBM, Acer. Other than sales, recently, the company has also conducted free service camp for laptops in Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore and Trichy.
Earlier in his interview with Channel Times, (click here to read), he said, his organization has equal focus on their service division for which they have created a separate brand identity. “We have also got patent registered for our service division ‘Laptop @ GBS’. Since the lines between the laptops-tablets-smart phones are getting blurred, we do not want to miss that opportunity also.”
