Mumbai: Idea Cellular has expanded its 4G network in the circle, covering 1,579 villages and towns across all 30 districts. Nearly 37% of the population of Karnataka is now covered with Idea’s high-speed wireless broadband services in all the key towns.
The company said it would continue to invest in one of its fast growing markets to expand its wireless broadband footprint in the region. The company has invested in setting up network infrastructure and laying and maintaining Optical Fiber Cable in the region. Idea plans to almost double its 4G sites by March 2017.

Idea has launched a range of products offering voice and data benefits for its new and existing customers in Karnataka. While strengthening its area, Idea is also emphasizing on building a strong channel ecosystem across the region. The company recently launched a new app ‘Dhruv’ for channel partners and distributors. The new app will enable Idea Cellular authorized distributors to ease up their work of offering services to consumers.
Through ‘Dhruv’, distributors can easily order products and can pay or track their orders online. It also offers many more features including contact to the company persons. Idea Cellular reportedly has more than 1.6 million retail points and 33,000 distributors across the country.
