Indore, Jan 13: Madhya Pradesh Computer and Telecom Association (MPCTA), the apex body of computer traders of the commercial capital of MP i.e. Indore is all set to organize its 18th IT expo– FONOCOM 2014, which will be held from February 14 –16th at the IDA Ground.
This year’s expo will be bigger and better, with special focus on students and corporates, revealed an official of MPCTA.
“FONOCOM is one of the must awaited activities of our association, every year we plan this IT expo which brings together all the IT and telecom companies, their partners, dealers and local customers under one roof. This year we are conducting this event in a much bigger ground and we will be having more number of stalls and pavilions,” informed Raghavendra Tripathi, President, MPCTA.
A MPTCTA member said that this was FONOCOM’s 18th year and the event would present some new technologies.
Currently association expo team is scouting for sponsors and chief guests for the event. As the association has started the booking of the stalls it will give first preference to its members and will open booking to non-members and vendors later.
The association wants to showcase the high end IT and telecom products, which the local consumers would not have seen at any platform. The association will be targeting corporates houses and college students with lucrative deals and quiz competitions.
In a change from the past, instead of regular science exhibition for the schools the organisers have planned for a special feature on upcoming technology along with seminars for colleges.
Every year expo gets over one lakh footfalls from across the state. “Its is one of the largest IT expo of the state, dealers from across MP get opportunities to meet IT vendors directly, who otherwise get minimum chance to interact with the brand companies,” said Tripathi.
