Mumbai: Global end point security solution provider, Kaspersky is betting big on its enterprise partners to expand its enterprise footprints in India. In an exclusive interaction with Channel Times, Altaf Halde, MD, Kaspersky Lab, SA said that enterprise business would be the key focus area for Kaspersky and the company will work closely with its partner ecosystem to tap big Corporate accounts.
“Kaspersky entered in India with a focus on consumer business and we are doing pretty well in that segment. We are also one of the top three players in the SMB space in the entire South Asia region. Now we are emphasizing on the enterprise business in India where we see a lot of growth potentials,” said Halde.
The company recently appointed few large SIs and security focused partners dedicated for its enterprise line of products and solutions. HCL, ACPL, Essen Vision, Raksha Technologies are some of the enterprise partners of Kaspersky in India. Halde said that the company is also in talks with TCS to get on board with the company.
“Our enterprise partners are split into two categories. One is enterprise partner like HCL, who do a lot of other things along with security and other are the security focused large security partners, who are critical for us from the enterprise business point of view”, said Halde.
Critical infrastructure companies are vulnerable to cyber attacks. Energy, oil and gas, and critical manufacturing industries are most affected by cyber security threats. Kaspersky intends to spread awareness among industries and the government bodies. The company recently held a event to talk about Kaspersky Industrial Cyber security Solutions (KICS), is a specialized protection for industrial control systems.
Halde said that partners are already talking about Kaspersky’s solutions and willing to get on board with the company. “Big enterprise partners, especially the large SIs are pitching for Kaspersky solutions because our solution are not only best in class but can give them better revenue”, he said.

Kaspersky currently has four distributors in India namely VR Infotch for its consumer line of business and Comguard, eCaps Computers Pvt Ltd and Sea Infonet for small, medium and large enterprise business.
