Operators Set Up 48,000 New Telecom Sites To Resolve Call-drops

Call drops have become a serious concern in the telecom sector. Aiming to curtail this menace, operators have set up 48,000 new telecom sites around the country, as part of the 100-day plan to which they had committed to the government earlier. After a meeting with telecom operators, Union Minister of Telecommunication Manoj Sinha said from June 10 onwards there will be the addition of around 60,000 Base Transceiver Station across the country, out of which 48,000 has been installed in the first 45 days according to a report published by gadgets.ndtv....
