The digital wave has taken the world by storm and India is not far behind. With various initiatives like Digital India and the recent demonetisation drive, the landscape is fast changing. Unfortunately, mounting a cyberattack has become cheaper and easier than ever before, and the data ever more valuable. Innovations in technology have improved our way of life and methods of doing business, but at the same time, have brought in a new challenge: more entry-points for cybercriminals.
Having a prevention mind-set at the executive level is the first step in changing the economics of the cybersecurity problem. In conjunction with Indian thought leaders from the public and private sectors, Palo Alto Networks has showcased how organisations in India can shape their cybersecurity prevention strategy. A range of valuable topics were covered through a series of keynote speeches, business, industry and technical presentations, as well as panel sessions, and will include key themes such as Breach Prevention: From the Network to the Cloud and how prevention is the future.
“The speakers were all highly respected professionals, and the panel discussion was dynamic. Overall this cyber forum was an eye opener. I wish you and your team further achievements, and hope for continued cooperation,” said, Ashutosh Deuskar, Director, VDA Info solutions. “The participation of customers and partners in the event was immense and I look forward to participate with Palo Alto Networks in further events as well,” said Jeet Gagwani, Business Development, SecureView.
In addition, cybersecurity experts including thought leaders from BFSI, ITES, academia and government have covered key issues faced by India and around the region. They also spoke at length on how prevention is possible.
The Cybersecurity Summit has been successful in Australia, Korea, Indonesia, Thailand and Japan, wherein over 5000 senior IT professionals have participated. It offers a platform where stalwarts from around the world are able to speak about one of the most relevant topics of the modern age: Cybersecurity. The Indian summit witnessed packed house with close to 1000 IT and security professionals.
