Mumbai: Satcom Infotech, one of the leading value-added distributors focused on security solutions, recently conducted a series of channel partner meets across various metros along with security solutions leader Sophos.
Satcom Infotech and Sophos, which had a strong association, started this exercise on January 1, 2017, conducted training sessions on Sophos Intercept and Sophos Endpoint in Bangalore, Goa, Nagpur, Coimbatore and Madurai with the 12-16 partners in each cities.
Vinod Kumar, Managing Director at Satcom Infotech said, “The financial year 2016-17 was exciting and challenging. We formed alliances with new vendors as well as partners. With them on place, we have additional solutions as well as more foot on the road.”
The Mumbai based distributor has signed up with new vendors such as SOTI for mobility solutions, Cososys for DLP and Smartron for T- books. We have also extended the agreement we had with Sophos to include the ING series Cyberoam firewalls.
Kumar also mentioned that the key milestones for Satcom during the fiscal were setting up new branches in south and eastern part of India. They had also set up training centres in Bangalore and Chennai.
Speaking on the channel activities, he said, “We are conducting extensive training programs for the channel partners on a continuous basis. This month we already completed about 10 man days of training. We also offer 6 day a week support to our partners from Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore.”
This support is offered via telephone, email and remote. The distributor also offers handholding for installations and provide on-site support for doing POC’s. We also offer incentive programs based on mutually agreed targets both for the partner company as well as the last mile sales person.
Satcom, recently tied up with Smartron for the distribution of their Tbook in the enterprise market. The Tbook is a user-friendly hybrid laptop cum tablet with a detachable keyboard. The made-in-India product comes with a service warranty and unlimited storage on cloud .
