Socomec Innovative Power Solutions Launches New ITYS I Single Phase UPS System

August 13, 2013: SOCOMEC Innovative Power solutions, a subsidiary of France based Socomec Group has announced the launch of its New ITYS I single phase UPS system range from 1000 to 3000 VA designed to ensure continuous power supply for Business IT and Industrial applications. These products are available only for the Indian market.

Speaking to B Swaminathan of Channel Times, Arunabh Ghosh, head Channels said, “The new products are tailored for Indian customers. This is a transformer-based model and had a big lessening in the size with liquefied crystal display.”

He also said that with the LCD, one can take data at any point of time and run time data can also be accessed. On the channel plans he said that he wanted to expand the partner base. Currently the company has 46+ business partners, 50+ active value added resellers.

“We are planning many training sessions for the partners across the region starting from September of this year. We may start the sessions from South India initially,” Arunabh said, further adding that the company is currently concentrating on the industries like health-care, BFSI and IT/ITES.

According to Ghosh, as a policy the company helps the emerging partners with a different credit schemes. “In some cases, our channel partners may not be in a position to repay the credit in a shorter span. In those tough situations, we assure guarantee to the national distributors for the partners on the duration of credit limit. This will be one of the biggest motivation and support given by any vendor,” he concluded.

The company has two different distribution cycle where billing is done directly to the national distributor or business partner (which includes power partners also). He said that the company is planning to streamline the distribution process where everything is billed from one party.
