Following the success of IT Expo’17, SITA, (South Gujarat Information Technologists Association) is planning to conduct an event on start-ups and other new avenues for the IT fraternity.
SITA is planning to organize the event jointly with SMC in relation with Surat Smart City Initiative to discuss different opportunities related to existing IT industry. The association has always planned activities that could be helpful for the members in terms of grooming them about technology, innovative activities to enrich the capacity and satisfy their interests.
SITA has been hosting IT Expo consecutively for 20 years. Every year SITA facilitates more than 150 exhibitors and serves around a lakh visitors during Expo. This time it started from February 10 and stayed up to February 13, 2017. According to media reports, Unnat Mehta, Spokesperson, SITA said, “SITA will also be managing the Hakathon event which is the part of Smart City Initiative. The event will comprise of 200 programmers and different analyst will be working on the same.”
“SITA has taken full responsibility to manage registration, assistance in IT and it enabled services and overall event management.” Mehta added.
Some of the regular activities of the association other than the expo are seminars, providing network opportunities for members within the forums, organizing the special general meets of members of the association for inter-exchange of innovations, developments and ideas in the IT trade for the benefit of all members.
SITA has played an active role to form federation of IT Associations of Gujarat to make representation to the Government and other authorities as and when required for the common interest.
