Following the resignation of Kaushik Pandya, President, and Rakesh Patel, General Secretary, Ahmedabad Computer Merchants Association (ACMA) has reshuffled the posts of President, General Secretary and Vice President. However, Chetan Dalal will continue as a Treasurer of the association.

With this reshuffle, Kirti Thakkar, Vice President, has now taken over the portfolio of President. Besides, two executive committee members have been short listed for General Secretary and Vice President posts.

According to Kirti Thakkar, “To pursuit new business projects, Pandya has resigned pre-maturely, and our executive committee members have promoted me to the President’s post. I will lead the term till the new election, which is scheduled for March 2010.”

“To fill up the General Secretary post, we have shortlisted Kishore Nagecha, and for Vice President, we have Narender Bhetaria. We have emailed their names to our other members as well. However, the final confirmation for both these names will be done in our forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) which is likely to be held on May 15,” informed Thakkar.

Besides the calendar events, the key task for ACMA’s new office bearers would be to boost the morale and sentiments of the members during the slowdown. “Hence, in our AGM meet we are planning to organize a third-party seminar. In this seminar we will be inviting some industry speakers to address the key issues of the members,” said Thakkar.
