In what is a true gigantic deal in the world of technology, Dell Corporation has completed the acquisition of EMC Corporation for a sum of USD 67 billion. After the completion, the new entity is being called Dell Technologies, is to become the world’s largest privately controlled technology company.
Headquartered in Round Rock, Texas, the new company will have Dell, Dell EMC, Virtustream, and Vmware under its umbrella, and they already have a current human resource base of 140,000 the world over. Michael Dell, the Chairman & CEO of Dell Technologies said, “This combination creates a USD 74-billion market leader… We have strategically aligned our capabilities where it makes sense to deliver integrated solutions in areas like hybrid cloud and security.” (Click here to read full story)
