The Infotech Software Dealers Association (ISODA) recently concluded its Annual General Meeting on 5th August 2016. The association announced the new managing committee for the year 2016-17. Nilesh Kuvadia, MD, ITCG Solutions has been elected as the new president of ISODA who will take over from the outgoing president L Ashok. Vice Chairperson of the last term, Vipul Datta, CEO Futuresoft has been elected as the chairperson and Dnyanesh Kulkarni, Director, Deltakraft Solutions has been elected as the secretary.
Commenting on his new role, Nilesh Kuvadia said that during his tenure he would focus on bringing higher level of transparency in the proceedings of the association. “ The new managing committee will work towards making ISODA more transparent. We will make sure that we fulfill expectations of our members,” Kuvadia told Channel Times.
Kuvadia also said that the association would increase its membership strength and explore possibility of liaisoning with other prominent national and international IT associations. On the long pending double taxation issue, Kuvadia said that the association would seek more clarity on the taxation structure to comment on the issue.
The two day event started with elections and swearing-in of the new managing committee on the first day, followed by some very interesting and informative lectures and presentations on the second day by ISODA members and guest speakers on important topics -such as taxation, Getting Things Done, Leadership and Conflict Management- that kept the audience in rapt attention.
Vipul Datta, Chairperson, stated the 5 key areas that the new committee would be working on. The association unanimously decided to:
1. Adopt and use more technology to bring partners together – launch of mobile business aggregation app for realtime commercial collaboration amongst partners
2. Liaise with international trade association to help members setup their business in india
3. Build local chapters in the 4-5 potential cities identified by the managing committee
4. Establish strategic alliance with other existing trade associations to collaborate and achieve more focus/commitment from government for larger participation of the SMSE organization in key Govt initiatives
5. Provide members with direct benefits to maximize the business potential.
