DataWind Captures 37% Of Tablet Sales In India During Q2 2016

Tablet player DataWind has maintained its leadership position for the third consecutive year. According to CMR’s India Tablet PC Market Review, DataWind sold 37.2 percent of the approximately 950,000 tablets in India, during the three months ended June 30, 2016. PC Shipments In India Decline 2.2% In Q2 2016, HP Leads: IDC

PC shipments in India declined 2.2 per cent to 2.14 million units in the April-June quarter this year, research firm IDC said. The sales stood at 2.19 million units in the second quarter of last year. However, on a sequential basis, the shipments grew 7.2 per cent over the January-March quarter this year. “Consumer spending throughout the quarter remained lukewarm.
