Symantec Names Blue Coat’s Michael Fey As President, COO

Cyber security firm Symantec has named Michael Fey as the president and chief operating officer of the company. The appointment comes in the heels of Symantec’s announcement last month that it intended to acquire Blue Coat for $4.65 billion. Fey currently serves as president and COO of Blue Coat. Symantec Acquires Bluecoat For $4.65bn

Symantec and Blue Coat, announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which Symantec will acquire Blue Coat for approximately $4.651 billion in cash. The transaction has been approved by the Boards of Directors of both companies and is expected to close in the third calendar quarter of 2016.
