The global endpoint security solution provider, Kaspersky is investing heavily in the resources to strengthen its enterprise business in India. The Russian anti-virus firm which already has a strong presence in the consumer space, is now building a enterprise partner network specialized in the security domain.

“We have identified a set of partners who are specialized in the security space and have started partnering with them. We are offering our flagship products such as Kaspersky endpoint security for business and other solutions and services to enterprise customers in association with these partners”, said Altaf Halde, Managing Director, Kaspersky Lab- South Asia.

Kaspersky’s enterprise solutions portfolio includes Industrial Security, Security Intelligence Virtualization and Data centers security, DDoS protection, Fraud prevention, Mobile Security and Anti-ATP solutions. Halde said that Industrial Security and Security Intelligence are the two key thrust areas of company’s B2B business strategy.

The Industrial Security solutions aims to protect critical infrastructure of enterprises and the government. Whereas, Security Intelligence focuses on awareness about cyber security. It includes training to enterprises as well as government entities. The training comprises different levels such as Level 1, Lever 2 and Level 3. Level 1 comprises basic cyber security training, whereas, Level 2 includes digital forensics. Level 3 focuses malware reverse engineering. Kaspersky has recently concluded Level 2 training for one of the largest consultancy firms in India.

“A lot of enterprises in India already have other end point solutions and it is not possible for them to keep changing their endpoint security solutions. We offer them intelligence services such as threat feeds on the top of their existing endpoint solution. We provide them information on proactive as well as reactive basis. We are seeing a lot of inquiries coming to us from Corporates and law enforcement agencies. There are few cyber cell departments in the country who have shown their interest in such kind of training”, Halde said.

Kaspersky is putting a substantial amount of investments into channel sales teams to assist partners. “ We are not only providing best in class solutions but also making it reach to tier 2 and tier 3 markets. Our distributors have very strong network in the remote areas that makes sure that our products are available across the regions”, Halde said.

Kaspersky currently has four distributors in India namely: VR Infotch for its consumer line of business and Comguard, eCaps Computers Pvt Ltd and Sea Infonet for small, medium and large enterprise business.
