PC Shipments In India Decline 2.2% In Q2 2016, HP Leads: IDC

PC shipments in India declined 2.2 per cent to 2.14 million units in the April-June quarter this year, research firm IDC said. The sales stood at 2.19 million units in the second quarter of last year. However, on a sequential basis, the shipments grew 7.2 per cent over the January-March quarter this year. “Consumer spending throughout the quarter remained lukewarm. Competition Commission has approved the proposed merger deal of Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) with enterprise services segment of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE).
