Oracle Academy and Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) have signed a partnership agreement to introduce Oracle Academy curriculum into 150 engineering colleges in the state. Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi, which has a contract manufacturing facility with Taiwan-based Foxconn at Sri City, has said it would ramp up production by adding more assembly lines. Rural India will now fuel the growth of internet in the country, which will account for nearly half of the country’s total Internet population by 2020. In a big hit to Infosys, the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has cancelled a major contract that will impact as many as 3,000 of Infosys’ employees and impact revenues for the year by about $40 million.
