Are schemes helping to sell better?

sell better

With the festive season round the corner, there have been a slew of schemes and promos from most of the vendors and distributors. Although it is a known fact that schemes are an incentive to boost or improve sales, a glut of schemes do not quite serve the purpose of helping the reseller to sell better.

p____p At first glance, most schemes present in the market today seem to be a replica of earlier ones, with the usual promise of an international holiday, gold offerings or points redemption. Hardly does one see any fresh ideas coming up. There is a dearth of innovative and path-breaking themes in the industry today.

p____p And the million-dollar question is how much sales do these schemes help generate? Isnt it time that vendors/distributors got their creative juices flowing to come up with novel concepts that would appeal to resellers.

p____p Resellers need ingenious methods to sell better. I suppose one has been witnessing way too many schemes while the concept of offering “gifts and points has been stretched for a long time now.

p____p Perhaps vendors should think of investing their time and money in bringingconstructive ideas to fruition in assisting the channel to deal in a fair trade and more importantly identify business potential, instead of resorting to offeringschemes.

p____p At the end of the day, however, it is what motivates the reseller to perform better rather than just churning out volumes. It is high time that there is a unified effort in seeking long-term goals instead of short-term gains.
