complete range of Nikon imaging products, Nikon Sport Optics and Nikon Instruments. Nikon India has total of five Nikon owned service centres( 4 branches and I Headquarter). On 3 rd July, 2020 Nikon India announced the commencement of the Nikon Photo Contest 2020-2021.
It is a premier and one of the largest photo contests across the globe. This contest provide a platform for the photographers all over the world to express their creativity and enrich their image making culture for both professionals and amateurs alike.
Started in 1969, till date around four lakh fifty thousand photographers have participated and submitted their works for the contest. Last year’s contest witnessed 30 percent participation from India. The previous edition marked the contest's 50 th anniversary and witnessed participation from 170 countries and regions. It was a tremendous success with the highest number of applicants and entries ever.
To elaborate the significance Sanjay Kumar, Managing director Nikon India added “Nikon believes
photography as an art which needs to be nurtured and cherished. We are proud to see emerging talents actively participating in the contest. It is an immense joy as the edition witnessed 4 winners from India. Nikon focuses on providing a platform to important stories through the common language of imaging, throughout the world.”
