R&M

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeing tremendous growth in its AWS Partner Network (APN) across India in recent years. The APN comprises tens of thousands of Independent ISVs and SIs around the world and aims at helping partners build successful AWS-based businesses by offering technical, marketing, go-to-market and other business support. One such prominent partner in its APN list is BlazeClan Technologies, a born in cloud consulting company that supports startups to enterprises. The company offers data warehouse services on AWS Redshift and big data on AWS. The company also offers managed Services and DevOps solutions to businesses across sectors.

The Pune-based company has been an APN Partner since 2011 and is a Premier APN Consulting Partner, AWS Managed Service Partner, holding the AWS Big Data Competency. Recently, BlazeClan has also achieved the AWS Financial Services Competency status.

Speaking about BlazeClan’s competencies, Varoon Rajani, CEO, BlazeClan Technologies informed Channel Times, “BlazeClan’s journey on AWS began as a startup in India in 2011. We became a customer of AWS when we started our organization.”
Sharing his thoughts on the association, Rajani said, “It was a big gain as we did not have to invest in infrastructure, and being able to move quickly on AWS.” Soon after, the team became totally involved in product development on AWS, and started helping other companies with similar challenges.

With support from the AWS Partner Network in India, BlazeClan’s business has grown substantially. “We’ve seen growth of 100–200 percent growth y-o-y over the past 3-to-4 years,” said Rajani, as he recalled, “2014-15 happens to be a landmark year for us, as the company was recognized by AWS as a Customer Obsessed Partner (2014), ASEAN Partner of the Year (2015), and Fastest Growing Partner West India, 2014.

In 2015, BlazeClan became a Premier AWS Consulting Partner, joining an elite group of consulting partners worldwide. “Being a Premier Partner has really helped us gain visibility worldwide and enhanced our position among customers,” he mentioned.

According to Rajani, BlazeClan is a customer-obsessed company. And since customers today are especially obsessed with security, especially as they move their business applications on the cloud.
“We have been teaming up with other security partners in the AWS Partner ecosystem. For example, we’re a big partner for Trend Micro (an Advanced APN Technology Partner), and we’re using Trend Micro for all of our security services. In that sense, APN has helped us come together with the right technology partners,” he explained.

Over the years, customer-centricity has transformed BlazeClan into an agile and lean company, simplifying its operations and deployment for customers. BlazeClan has also invested significantly in AWS Training and Certification. “This has helped us showcase how many Associate and Professional Certified resources we have on the team, and has made conversation with the customer more transparent and reliable,” said Rajani.

Speaking about achieving the AWS Financial Services Competency, the latest feature on its cap, Rajani believes it is a big differentiator. “Our team is dedicated to helping customers in the financial services industry achieve their business goals by leveraging the agility of AWS,” he stated.

As per an estimate by research firm Zinnov, the Indian cloud services market will reach $10 billion by 2020. At the same time, AWS India has over 75,000 active customers and is seeing tremendous growth in the number of customers every quarter. In such a scenario, BlazeClan has a huge role to play in terms of product innovation and expansion to newer markets through its alliance with AWS, summed up Rajani.
