Suggest Better, Cost-effective Alternatives

Cost-effective

In today’s computing environment, the requirement varies from user to user. Again as everybody doesn’t need the computer for doing the same type of jobs, the PC architecture may be planned based on requirements. Thus, the resellers need to understand the actual need of a potential buyer before proposing a product for him/her. Very often the sale stumbles because of high price, although the customer may not reveal that cause.

In the last 1 year, we have seen a reasonably good drop in prices, as far as the entry-level, low-cost branded PCs are concerned. Even then in different parts of the country buyers are more inclined to customized PCs, considering longer warranty of the constituent PC components. Whereby, the scope for the assembled PC market is still very good in several quarters.

In the assembled sector, the advent of CPU and GPU hybrid is a good solution to reduce the overall cost. Today’s CPUs are developed enough to support high-speed activities (gaming) with appropriate GPUs that can take care of the required speed.

That apart, the advent of Mini and Micro PCs have eased the price burden to a great extent. Resellers have to make the buyers aware of the new concepts that save cost, space and provides rich service for the required application. In some cases, the total number of functions can be classified into several categories. Accordingly, instead of one high-end PC, multiple mini PCs also may be recommended, which benefits the customer in different ways, such as more than one user can do his/her jobs simultaneously, less outage time etc.

Although today many customers are well-versed with the computer’s anatomy, still resellers with updated knowledge, and better insight of the customer’s requirement, can convince them to go ahead with the better alternatives, which is profitable for both.
