The 31.5-inch 4K monitor introduces the PV50 Series in India, with the 27-inch PV2750U to launch later
BenQ, a provider of professional display solutions, today announced the India launch of the Creative Pro PV3250U at Broadcast India 2026. Designed for colourists, video editors and post-production studio owners, the 31.5-inch 4K UHD monitor combines hardware calibration, accurate shadow reproduction and practical inspection tools for professional workflows.
Meeting the Needs of Professional Post Production
In professional post-production, consistent colour decisions are particularly important in dark scenes, where subtle shadow details contribute to visual storytelling. Black crush and tonal inconsistencies can affect grading decisions and increase correction time. The PV3250U combines BenQ AQCOLOR technology with calibration and image-inspection tools to help professionals evaluate these details with confidence.
Colour Accuracy and Shadow Detail
Dark Tone Clarity. A 3000:1 native contrast ratio, gamma 2.4 tuning and AQCOLOR technology help preserve shadow gradation and minimise black crush in Rec.709 workflows. Factory calibration with enhanced dark-tone patch validation supports accurate evaluation across the shadow range.
Corner-to-corner uniformity. AQCOLOR Uniformity uses micro-zone correction to improve colour and brightness consistency across the display, including areas near the edges, helping reduce visual variation during critical evaluation.
16-bit 3D LUT hardware calibration. The PV3250U uses nearly 5,000 RGB reference points for colour correction across the RGB colour space, with calibration data stored in the monitor’s internal IC. The 16-bit specification refers to internal colour-correction precision. BenQ AQCOLOR Pilot software supports recalibration with a compatible external calibrator, helping maintain accuracy over time.
Colour gamut and HDR review. The PV3250U offers 99% DCI-P3 and 100% Rec.709 colour gamut coverage, a stated Delta E ≤1 colour-accuracy specification and a 120Hz refresh rate. HDR10 and HLG support, together with VESA DisplayHDR 600, enable HDR content review.
Practical Tools for Content Inspection
Shadow Check temporarily lifts dark areas to reveal low-light details during inspection. Users can then return to their calibrated viewing mode for final grading decisions. Marker provides aspect-ratio and cropping guides for different delivery formats, while Area Zoom magnifies selected image regions for closer examination. These inspection tools do not modify the source content.
A Connected Workspace for Creative Professionals
Thunderbolt 4 supports video, data and up to 96W of power delivery through a compatible single-cable connection, with link bandwidth of up to 40Gbps. A magnetic shading hood helps reduce ambient light and reflections. Backlit OSD keys and the Wireless Hotkey Puck G4 provide convenient access to display controls, with Puck settings configurable through Display Pilot 2. For audio review, the built-in ESS DAC supports high-impedance headphones up to 300Ω.
Pricing and Availability
The BenQ PV3250U carries an MRP of ₹1,99,000 and is available at an end-customer price of ₹1,48,998 within this month.
