Beyond the Screen: Christie’s Vision for Immersive, Secure, and Sustainable Visual Solutions

Rishubh Nayar, Sales Director – India, shares how Christie is tailoring its AV technologies for government, corporate, entertainment, and cultural spaces across the country.
- Christie offers one of the broadest ranges of display and projection solutions in the industry. How do you adapt your portfolio to meet the unique needs of sectors such as government, corporate, themed entertainment, and cultural tourism?
In addition to offering one of the broadest ranges of display and projection systems in the industry, Christie solutions are tailored to serve the distinctive requirements of each sector by focusing on specialised customisation and innovation.
In the government sector, our projection and direct-view LED video wall solutions comply with the Trade Agreements Act (TAA) to ensure secure, uninterrupted operations for everything from command centres to briefing rooms. In the corporate domain, we address needs for hybrid collaboration, decision-making, and impactful communication by delivering high-performance video walls, collaborative displays, and advanced content processing. Our systems remain scalable and secure to suit diverse corporate spaces from meeting rooms to boardrooms, enabling effective data visualisation and streamlined workflows.
For themed entertainment, including theme parks and immersive attractions, we bring creative visions to life with our high brightness 3DLP and 1DLP laser projectors well-suited for projection mapping. Our technology enables large-scale immersive storytelling, supporting creative teams in pushing boundaries for visitor engagement.
In cultural tourism and museums, we deliver flexible visualisation platforms such as high-resolution displays, interactive video walls, and advanced mapping. These technologies empower venues to craft educational, visually compelling experiences, whether for permanent exhibitions or temporary installations, enabling dynamic digital storytelling across cultural sites. By continuously investing in R&D and collaborating with industry partners, Christie ensures that each solution is precisely tailored to sectoral needs delivering quality, security, and innovation for each unique audience.
- In mission-critical environments like government command centers or corporate boardrooms, reliability and precision are crucial. How does Christie ensure its technology delivers on these demands?
For the government sector, our solutions are engineered around performance, reliability, and security. We offer secure, TAA-compliant projection and video wall systems, supported by expert services from design through to maintenance, ensuring mission-critical operations remain uninterrupted.
Our government-grade AV technology powers applications from command centres to briefing rooms, and we provide ongoing support focused on seamless, secure operation at every stage.
Furthermore, we understand the need for maximum uptime and immediate support in case of technical issues. That is why we provide robust service commitments, including 24/7/365 technical support, real-time remote monitoring, critical inventory management for fast-tracked parts, routine preventive maintenance, and optional 10+ year extended warranties.
- Christie is a trusted name in themed entertainment worldwide. Can you share examples of how your projection and display solutions are creating immersive experiences for theme parks, live shows, or attractions?
Christie has been helping organisations deliver world-class AV experiences by providing advanced projection and display solutions, combined with professional services support from design through deployment.
At the same time, we have also been at the forefront of creating immersive experiences for themed entertainment, theme parks, and attractions worldwide. For instance, at Wonderla Amusement Park in Hyderabad, the ‘Mission Interstellar’ dark ride features a massive parabolic screen brought to life by a Christie 4K RGB laser projector — making it the first ride of its kind in India to install an advanced RGB pure laser projection system. This allows guests to experience incredibly vivid visuals and immersive storytelling on an unprecedented scale.
Similarly, our high-brightness laser projectors power the Son et lumière shows at numerous attractions and monuments across India, such as the UNESCO World Heritage Khajuraho Temples in Madhya Pradesh. The installation, which uses our 23,650-lumen laser projectors, enables large-scale 3D projection mapping and animated sequences that narrate the monument’s storied past, garnering rave reviews for transforming heritage conservation into a captivating night-time experience.
Globally, Christie’s projection and display solutions continue to support spectacular visual storytelling in major theme parks, planetariums, and live attractions — from Liberty Science Center’s planetarium in the US to giant immersive theatrical performances in China. Across all these projects, our technology unlocks creativity for attraction designers, ensuring visitors are fully immersed in the story-world.
- Museums and cultural institutions are increasingly embracing immersive storytelling. How is Christie supporting cultural tourism projects with technologies like projection mapping and advanced AV solutions?
Museums and cultural institutions are increasingly turning to immersive storytelling to deepen visitor engagement, and projection mapping and advanced AV technologies are at the heart of that transformation. We are proud to support cultural tourism projects that bring history and heritage to life in powerful ways. For example, at Delhi’s Red Fort Festival, our HS Series 1DLP laser projectors powered a 30-minute projection mapping show that illuminated the historic façade with vibrant content celebrating India’s independence — marking Christie’s 100th permanent projection mapping installation in the country.
At the Smritivan Earthquake Museum in Gujarat, nearly 100 Christie 1DLP laser projectors create compelling visual narratives across eight galleries, from a geo dome that simulates the earthquake experience to multimedia walls that honour the region’s history and resilience.
With high brightness, reliability, and energy efficiency, our solutions enable museums and cultural sites to deliver unforgettable digital experiences that inspire visitors while preserving the integrity of treasured landmarks.
- With rapid advances in projection, LED, and immersive technologies, how does Christie balance cutting-edge innovation with ease of integration for end-users across diverse industries?
At Christie, we believe cutting-edge innovation must go hand in hand with practicality and ease of integration. That’s why our portfolio spans both projection and direct-view LED, giving customers the flexibility to choose the right solution for their environment. On the projection side, our RGB pure laser and laser phosphor projectors deliver outstanding color performance, reliability, and energy efficiency for everything from premium cinemas to live events and immersive attractions.
Our LED video wall solutions — from the premium MicroTiles LED to Core Series III, Lumia COB, and Vivia SMD — are engineered with features that simplify deployment, including modular designs, front-serviceability, built-in processing, and powerful calibration tools.
In addition, our image processing solutions, such as Christie Terra and Spyder, ensure seamless integration into existing workflows. By combining advanced performance with user-friendly design and integration tools, we help our customers deliver powerful visual experiences without adding unnecessary complexity, ensuring technology elevates storytelling, collaboration, and engagement across industries.”
- Looking ahead, what key trends do you see shaping the future of immersive visual solutions, and how is Christie preparing to address the evolving needs of industries such as cultural tourism and smart cities?
One major trend is the growing demand for energy-efficient and sustainable projection technologies that can produce large-scale, high-resolution visuals while minimising environmental impact. Our latest laser projection systems, such as the Sapphire 4K40-RGBH hybrid laser projector, are designed with long lifespans and low maintenance, helping cultural sites and urban installations deliver vivid, reliable experiences.
Another trend is the increasing importance of interactive and real-time responsive visual environments, especially for the cultural tourism sector. Christie’s solutions integrate advanced media servers, and content management software that enable dynamic content adaptation based on visitor movement or environmental changes.
In addition, we expect greater demand for modular and scalable solutions that can be adapted to diverse venue sizes and types for cultural tourism sites and evolving smart city infrastructures. Our expanding range of direct-view LED video walls solutions, such as the Lumia COB and Vivia SMD tailored for the India market, provides unmatched choice, versatility, and flexibility for various indoor applications such as control rooms, hospitality, retail, entertainment, or corporate environments.
Looking ahead, the rise of smart cities will drive the convergence of IoT, digital twin technologies, and immersive visual systems. Christie is committed to building synchronised visual ecosystems that support urban planning, citizen engagement, and environmental monitoring. Through initiatives such as InfoComm India 2025, we continue to pioneer solutions that merge aesthetics with functionality, helping cities and cultural destinations stay connected, sustainable, and future-ready.
