ServiceNow has announced the appointment of Marion Ryan to the role of Vice President, Alliances & Channel Ecosystem for its APJ region. Ryan will be based in Singapore, overseeing the development and growth of ServiceNow’s APJ partner ecosystem.
Ryan joins ServiceNow from SAP where she spent more than a decade looking after the company’s sales and channel business across Asia, Europe and North America. The news of her appointment comes only days after SAP’s former outgoing CEO Bill McDermott said he is stepping into a new role as president and CEO of ServiceNow. McDermott will join its ranks by the end of the year, succeeding outgoing CEO John Donahoe, who is stepping down from ServiceNow.
In May this year, ServiceNow announced its global partner ecosystem transformation strategy, including new world class programs to equip, enable and empower its global partner community. The regional appointment was in line with its global vision, the company said.
With almost 25 years of IT & Telecommunications experience and an extensive focus on Enterprise business and Partners, Ryan spent more than 12 years at SAP, eight of those in Singapore where she held the role as VP, Head of Channels for SAP Asia Pacific Japan and successfully rolled out new partner segmentation and commercial models to drive success as SAP customers transition to cloud and hybrid solutions.
Ryan has held key sales and management positions at Telecom NZ (AAPT), Department of the Australian House of Representatives, Mortgage Express (a subsidiary of TSB Bank, London) and Solution6.
“I am delighted to be joining ServiceNow in my new role and look forward to working closely with our APJ partners to accelerate the digital transformation journey of our clients with associated business outcomes. This presents a significant opportunity for our partners to accelerate growth via the development of ServiceNow enabled regional workflow practices and partner IP enabled managed services,” Ryan said.
She added, “Our continued growth relies on delivering business value to our customers, by offering solutions that meet the specific needs of each local market. To do this, we rely on partners with deep industry expertise and knowledge of ServiceNow-enabled solutions along with go-to-market maturity. I look forward to further enabling and driving the accelerated growth of our regional partner ecosystem.”
Mitch Young, Senior Vice President and General Manager, APJ at ServiceNow, said: “We’re excited to have Marion join ServiceNow, where her leadership success, passion for sales excellence, team building, and operational effectiveness will drive growth within our APJ partner community. As we aspire to become a $10 billion revenue company, our commitment to our regional and global partner strategy provides a strong foundation for continued partner and customer success.”
