Array Networks Aims for 40% Growth in 2020

Array Networks is on an ambitious mission. After generating over $5 million revenue in India, Array is currently involved in various stages of implementation of over 15 smart city projects across India. The company envisions a 40% growth in FY 2020-21.  After recently launching an enterprise-grade ‘Amplifier’ fully designed and developed in its innovation center in Bangalore, Array, a leader in application delivery controller (ADC) market, is relentlessly working towards creating cutting-edge solutions for global and local customers.

In an exclusive interaction with Channel Times, Shibu Paul, Vice President International Sales of Array Networks said, in the coming quarters, government’s push towards digitalization and investment in public infrastructure will be the growth factors for India’s ADC market. Paul also discloses the company’s channel roadmap for 2020.

CXOToday: What is Array Network’s market position in application delivery controller (ADC) market in India?

Shibu Paul: Array Networks is the second largest ADC vendor in Indian market as per IDC report for Q42019. The credit goes to our Indian team and the partners for this tremendous achievement of proactively understanding the customer requirements across various verticals and delivering the implementations on time.

The shift towards cloud environment is expected to expand the adoption of ADN. On top of that, customers expect 100% availability. Applications have to be fast and accessible in order to stay ahead of competition. Array’s ADN is not only affordable, but the consolidation of load balancing and server offloading capabilities make them more cost-effective and efficient.

Array’s ADCs are engineered to boost application performance in modern data center, cloud and virtual environments and ensures quick ROI for service providers, enterprise and public sector organizations. Array provides robust set of application services with high availability, scalability, performance, and security to keep up with the growing ADC demand.

CXOToday: Can you tell us about the recent ‘Make in India’ product from Array Networks?

Shibu Paul: We recently launched our first ‘Make in India’ product, Amplifier which was designed and developed in the Array Center for Technology Innovation (ACTI), a product innovation and design center located in Bangalore. Amplifier is a direct product of R&D investments made by the company in 2019. It is a new and futuristic load generating system that conducts performance tests and enables testing of networking devices in terms of stress, scalability and throughput, transactions, and many other system attributes.

We also released an upgraded enterprise edition of web application firewall (WAF) that integrates with the company’s Network functions platform (AVX) for application delivery and load balancing. The enterprise WAF incorporates a number of techniques based on machine learning algorithms for detecting anomalies and defending against currently unknown threats.

With continued focus and investment, we aim to further expand our product line and our fast-growing footprint in the Indian subcontinent.

CXOToday: What is your Channel strategy for FY 2020-21?

Shibu Paul: Business Intelligence has helped us optimize our work and focus on productive trends. Array’s channel program is devised to select partners and continuously train them on leading-edge solutions. We have a robust online training and certification program for our selected partners.

In addition to the training programs, Array has also set up the Array Center for Technology and Innovation (ACTI) which caters to the local as well as global customers. Channel partners have been major beneficiaries of ACTI as it allows them to test networking & security solutions on Array’s HCI platform AVX. ACTI features state-of-the-art technology and has a fully equipped customer as well as partner training center capable of providing enhanced support to local and global stakeholders.

With the help of our dedicated channel ecosystem, we are focused on developing a skilled pool of resources. Apart from offering intensive training and certification, our customers also take part in regular customer engagement programs specially designed to familiarizing them with the emerging technologies and how to sell them. Array has the potential to make a difference to the channel community by creating a highly trained channel ecosystem capable of propelling the company towards the emerging trends.

CXOToday: Can you throw some lights on the smart city project and other initiatives you are involved in?

Shibu Paul: We have been actively supporting ‘100 Smart Cities Mission’ initiated by the Union Government of India. Array is involved in various stages of implementation for multiple cities namely Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Davengere to name few.

Array has assisted in devising futuristic data centers for smart cities by introducing unique concepts such as hyper-convergence in networking into the DCs. Array’s smart city solutions are designed keeping in mind the growing importance of utilizing data in safe, secure way. Our solutions are field-proven in the world’s largest telecoms, financial institutions and Fortune 500 enterprises with 99.999% uptime.

Array’s operation in India is one of the top contributors to the company’s overall global growth. The large percentage of this impressive growth came from the government, BFSI, aviation, entertainment and education verticals. Our WAF and SSL Intercept are the two flagship products that gained traction across all the verticals, especially BFSI and government, ensuring 100% growth with three-fold increase in the number of customers, which added significantly to overall revenue growth. Continuing our commitment to the ‘Make in India’ initiative, we are already designing and developing additional in-house products and innovations that enable secure delivery of applications to end-users.

CXOToday: What are your business plans for 2020?

Shibu Paul: We envision a 40% growth in 2020. In the coming years, Array Networks will continue to design cutting-edge solutions for global and local customers. We are also planning to go beyond application delivery and will be launching our security product by mid of this year.

From a product roadmap perspective, we will be seeing software defined ADN, micro services based architecture which will be very relevant for cloud based offerings. Our technologies hold a unique position in terms of data delivery and management in customer’s infrastructures and have the ability to provide insights into application data that can be used to boost security as well as improve efficiency.

Array Networks will be a one-stop solution for businesses looking for a whole new approach to security that creates smart, agile and more context-aware protection against sophisticated web-based threats.
